Thomas William Rolleston (1857-1910) was a writer, translator, and poet. Born in Offaly, and educated at St. Columba’s College and Trinity College, he founded the Dublin University Review in 1885. He was a member of the London-based Rhymers’ Club, founded in 1890 by Yeats, who described Rolleston as ‘an intimate enemy’, and a founding member of the Irish Literary Society, and involved with Conradh na Gaeilge.
