Rev. James Brown Armour (1841–1928) was a Presbyterian minister known for his support of Home Rule and the Tenant Right movement against landlordism. He also supported the proposal for a Catholic university and opposed partition, which he felt would be disastrous for Ulster. As a result of these views he was at odds with mainstream Ulster Protestant opinion. On the 24th October 1913, he organised a public meeting in Ballymoney in support of Home Rule.
