FELLLOW NATIONALISTS,—I have to return you my most sincere thanks for supporting my candidature in South Mayo.

I am satisfied that in recording your votes in my favour you were influenced solely by the consideration that you were not only registering a strong protest against an unjust war, but emphasising before the world your sympathy with the Burghers of the South African Republics in the gallant stand they are making in a cause which is so closely akin to our own.

My acknowledgements are also due to the Election Committee. I beg to thank you one and all.
