Timothy Daniel Sullivan (1827-1914) was an Irish nationalist politician who served as a Member of Parliament and the Lord Mayor of Dublin throughout his political career. Sullivan is more famous for being the author of the famous Fenian ballad, “God Save Ireland!” in the memory of the three Manchester Martyrs executed in 1867, the ballad was considered by many to be Ireland’s unofficial national anthem.
